What is the difference between Budget, Strong and Ultra?
Budget ($0.19) is a focused review of every commit, Strong ($0.45, the default) is a thorough review that verifies every finding, and Ultra ($1.49) is Strong plus the Expert security and Expert logic add-ons.
| Level | Price per review | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Budget | $0.19 | A focused review of every commit, with the Standard security review. |
| Strong (default) | $0.45 | A thorough review, every finding verified, with the Standard security review. |
| Ultra | $1.49 | Strong plus Expert security and Expert logic. |
What every level includes
- The Standard security review on every commit reviewed: injection, access control, secrets, SSRF, path traversal, XSS and more.
- The same summary, score, inline comments and check run.
- Replies to your pushback, and half-price follow-up reviews.
Measured results
On our own set of 11 real pull requests, Budget found 72% of the labelled defects and Strong found 78%; 99% and 98% of their findings were real. Ultra has not been measured end to end yet. The method and sample sizes are on Benchmarks.
How to choose
- Not sure: start with Strong.
- Many small commits, tight budget: Budget.
- Payments, authentication or customer data: add Expert security, or choose Ultra.
- Complex logic where a wrong edge case is costly: add Expert logic, or choose Ultra.
The level is set per repository in the app. Only organization owners and admins can change it. To run one deeper review without changing the level, request it through the API with a level for that run only.
