Repository visibility
Last updated .
Can every member see every repository’s reviews?
No: a Member sees only the repositories their own GitHub account can access in the organization’s installation, while Admins see every repository.
How it works
- MergeSafe asks GitHub, with the Member’s own sign-in, which of the installation’s repositories they can access.
- Reviews, pull requests and settings for other repositories don’t appear. A direct link to one shows “not found”.
- Organization-wide monthly totals on the Overview aren’t shown to a Member with limited access, since they would include repositories they can’t see.
- The list is refreshed every 15 minutes.
- If GitHub can’t be reached for long enough, a Member sees no repository data rather than everything.
What decides access
GitHub does: a person’s repository access on GitHub, within the repositories you chose when installing the App. To change what a Member sees, change their access on GitHub or the App’s repository list.
