AI code review for Python teams
Last updated .
Does MergeSafe review Python code?
Yes: MergeSafe reviews Python pull requests like any other language, and can prove some Python logic bugs by running a short script in an isolated sandbox.
What Python teams get
- Bugs shown, not just claimed. When a pull request changes
.pyfiles, a review may run a short Python script in an isolated sandbox to show a logic bug is real. - Security on every level. SQL, command and template injection, unsafe deserialization, path traversal, SSRF, secrets and access control. See Security checks.
- Lockfiles don’t count toward size.
uv.lock,poetry.lockand generated files such as_pb2.pyare left out of the large pull request count. - Dependabot for uv. For a project with
uv.lock, the recommendations suggest Dependabot’s uv ecosystem. - Your conventions. Rules in
AGENTS.mdare applied to every review.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t match your dependencies against vulnerability databases. Use Dependabot or a similar tool.
- It doesn’t run your test suite. Keep your CI.
